Unhappy Problem Syncing MDA with ACT! CRM

Hi everyone. I sure hope someone else has run into this as well. I use ACT! for all of my contacts and appointments. I would like to sync my new MDA with ACT! but I'm running into problems.

It seems that the new MDA can only run with ActiveSync v4.0 or higher. On the other side, the newest version of ACT! (2006/v8.0) requires v3.5 - v3.8 of ActiveSync. I've checked with both companies. The MDA can't sync on anything lower and ACT! can't sync with anything higher. So, with the gap, they aren't working together and I'm at a loss.

Are there any third party softwares which will accomplish this? I've heard of CompanionLink, which I found on www.actaddons.com, but haven't been able to get it to work. Message is already left with the developers of CompanionLink.

If I can't get this to sync, I may need to return the phone, which is a shame as I really like it. Oh, and there's the little matter that T-Mobile will rake me over the coals (again) to take it back (after they told me ACT! should sync).

Of course, it's not soley T-Mobile or ACT! fault, but frustrating none the less.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone!
Eric

Hi! I've just come off the phone with ACT! who say that the "new" ACT! 9 will do everything and will work with Windows Mobile 5.

Regards
