Red face Memory Upgrade to 64/128MB

I am thinking about upgrading the memory on my T-Mobile Phone Edition to either 64mg or 128 mg using one of Pocket PC Techs' advertized units. They recommend sending the unit in to them for the installation. However, I would rather not be without my PDA for the interim. Since I am reasonably handy, I thought I may be able to install the upgrade myself. Has anyone done this on his or her own and be willing to share the experience. If it's too tricky I would opt to send it in. I figure with such an upgrade I could really go to town with some of the cooler memory intensive programs available now, since I'm a cheapie and am otherwise satisfied with my PDA. Thanks

It isn't a plug and play if that is what you are asking. It requires specialized tools and knowledge to do. Usually surface mount chip replacement. I would definitely send it in.

PPC Techs do an outstanding job and are very easy to deal with. I had one fo the original JAMs and had it upgraded to 128MB by them. Worked flawlessly.
