I agree with you completely, however, you have to understand as you have stated a very important point, the wireless industry is very competitive. In such a business, the profit is all made from the accumulation of customers each year, rather than how many customers they maintain. It is the service fees that wireless companies make bank on, remember that "36 dollars" to open a line? and also the $12 dollars for additional family line they make? or the 2 year contract they try to put you on? after locking you in for 2 years, they have made more than what they gave out (cell phones, service, etc.) and they can give a half a rat's ass about u after those 2 years. You're basically just paying 40 bucks a month, to them, they're not making much. Unless....you pay an enormous amount of money to "upgrade" your phone. even then they still try to charge you an "upgrade" fee of 18 bucks. it's a volume buisness, not customer service business. they try to snatch all they can at the initial stage of signing, after that, it's just smooth sailing for the cell phone company. want to cancel prior to contract ends? pay the rest of the year's service, and THEN some.
btw. I used to work at cingluar corporate. so I'm not just bullsh8ting you here.
