NO audio

I have a tmobile pocket pc phone edition
(sx56) it has no audio-
One day It just up and quit right out of the blue...
It had been a good phone prior to that.
Nothing I have done fixes the problem- everything from a hard reset to opening the unit and disconnecting the batery...
the phone does something really funny
when I dial. It brings up the speaker phone requester instantly
and- no audio though...
so I tried it with the head set in
well I can hear but the mic is dead...
what now?

Tonight I may try disconnecting the battery for the whole night- perhaps there is a glitch in the silicone that has taken root.

I dropped mine and damaged the headphone jack, rendering my speaker useless. I could only hear sound through a headphone plugged into it. This happened a few months ago. The other night though, the mic went out on it, so I can hear the phone, but callers can't hear me. I purchased a used unit from a local for $100, and am currently trying to upgrade the software to 2003 from 2002, and having a hellofa time finding it.

I suspect these have bad audio chips
Well I have researched it and it seems that tmobile is going to fly with silly little poison berrry and side kick
the side kick is a piece
and the black berry poison berry or what ever is lame
checked out the razor phone and it seems that lots of people think these suck - I went to frys thinking I would buy a separate hand held and use the razor phone blue tooth...
not gonna happen... cuz most of the hand helds cost way more that the treo 650 from verizon- soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Im gonna dump tmobile because they didnt help me with my phone when I told them was having problems because they said I was supposed to d/l the update which was not avail by them or microsoft and they openly addnmited they pulled the update and it was their fault...
well after much grinding and pain and hell I got some help and they agreed to give a a better deal on the phones they had- free if I go with two year or $30 for any if I go with 1 year...- trouble is all they have is that awful poison berry piece of *&%$ and the so Im going to bail
Now keep in mind that the new razor comming will be better but it can only play 100 mp3 files...lame still...
and honestly What power user needs a camera? we carry those sepparate cuz phone cameras are lame...
