Help? Converting AT&T to T-MObile phone

I have a T-Mobile pocket pc that was originally 2002, and then a friend unlocked it and ugpraded to AT&T 2003.

Now I want to convert it to T-Mobile 2003 and it tells me the ROM is incompatible.

Is there a way to either
1. Force it to upgrade anyway
or
2. Downgrade it to some lower version and then ugprade to T-mobile 2003

Anyone?

Don't you mean it was originally running PPC 2002, and you upgraded to PPC 2003?

Yes.
It was originally a T-mobile PPC running 2002.

A friend put the AT&T 2003 upgrade on it, and it is now running WM2003.

I want to switch it to T-Mobile 2003 (although I am not sure that is worth anything, but it's not for me... and I don't want to confuse my friend by giving her a T-Mobile phone that says "AT&T Wireless" on the today-screen phone app)

you can do it with some software from xda-developers.com (xda tools) and a copy of the tmobile rom. the 2003 rom was pulled from the tmobile site so you will have to search to find a copy. read up on loading roms on the xda site so you know what to do.
