Having problems with messaging software - alternatives?
Hello,
Several months ago I had the same problem I have now (posted here - http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/xda-i...ght=messaging), with the messaging software on my SX66.
I cannot even open the messaging software from my Today screen or my Programs menu at all. The last time I had this problem when my unit was still under warranty, Cingular support's "solution" was for me to do a hard reset and lose all my data. (They could not tell me how to get Activesync working to backup my data).
While I now have a fairly current backup (stored on an SD card via XBackup software), I really don't want to have to do a restore to fix this problem -- and it's no guarantee that my backup doesn't have this same problem as well.
Are there alternatives to an entire system wipe? Is there another messaging program I can use? (I would have to be able to download that new program, as my data cradle is damaged and I haven't replaced it).
Thanks for any advice offered.
