WPA (Wifi encryption) support on PDA2K?

Hi All,

I had to configure my wireless access point to use WPA and, for some reason, I'm having difficulty configuring my PDA2K to support the encryption.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Dan.

What ROM version are you using? Some earlier ROMs don't support WPA.

Should support WPA then -- I've run that ROM on my SX66 using WPA-PSK/TKIP but am currently running 1.42.

You might want to check out your WAP's firmware -- I use a Linksys WAP54G with the most recent firmware and it works fine.

I just cycled the power on my Access Point and tried to reconfigure the WPA on my PDA2K and it worked. Very strange...

Thanks for validating that it works

for anyone else having this problem, go into menu>settings>system>device information and check your radio version.

If it's anything but 1.15.00 then you need to upgrade. I had 1.13 and had all kinds of problems with wpa encryption. Also, your router as to be configured to use pre shared key , psk , tkip encryption. My phone won't even let me set the router to tkip + aes but tkip ONLY.
