First thing I'd check is to make sure the files are spelled exactly as they are entered in the config.txt file. I do believe it is case sensative. If everything there lookis ok, I'd try a manual instal. Click on it, and make sure the CAB is not corrupted.

Hi Chris, thanks for all your hard work on this! I decided to try out the new ROM and downloaded the 1.33.50 rom, 1.33.110 ext, and the R1.12.00 radio and unzipped them into the same folder with the BAFlash tools.
When I try to run the upgrade I get "Error 122: Extended Image File checksum error" "The ROM image file to be used for the update is corrupt. Download the correct ROM update and try again."
Do you know what I'm doing wrong? I'm feeling kind of dumb and tired today (can't sleep very well with my enormous pregnant belly in the way )

Nope, it would appear that the EXT ROM image is damaged. I'm downloading the original from Siemens now, and will get it posted in the next 24 hours. (No remote access). If you can't wait, I suggest that you download the offical ROM update, install that. Then update just the Main Rom, and the Radio ROM. It is a little long winded, but it will work.

Ekkk... Ok, so I downloaded the Siemens update, pulled out the EXT Rom file, and started to bake it.
"WARNING: this does not look like a nbf header, possible you provided the wrong password"
Sure was. Just for giggles, I tried to flash it. Got through the flash, but boy was it ugly. Seems the only way to get the 1.33.110 EXT ROM is to use the Siemens update file. They use a different password in the ROM header, so rebaking it is impossible.
The Good News: MDAIIIUser at xda-developers is about to beta a tool to build the EXT Rom from Cab files, providing a single flashable file. I've been talking with him, and hopifully will get a beta copy.
The Bad news: For the moment, upgrading is a multi-step process. To get 1.33.50 with the 1.33.110 EXT ROM, you have to get the EXT ROM in place before hand (Offical Siemens update), then flash 1.33.50, and the 1.12.00 radio.
Side note: There is rumblings of a 1.40.00 System ROM coming out on the Qtek 9090 from sweden. It is an offical ROM, with BT3900 built in, and WMP10. I'll post more when I know more.

Well shoot! Maybe I should just wait to see if this one is released any time soon and does anything else worth having Oh, decisions, decisions! I have so much stuff to reinstall after ROM upgrades that I try to not do them that often But like you said on your site Chris, it's that pull between "if it ain't broke..." and wanting to have the latest and greatest.
So I got tired of doing work and decided to try doing the update after all...
And now I'm getting a new error message... the official Siemens update worked fine, but now when I go to install 1.33.50 I get the following:
"Error 201: Get Device Data Error"
"Cannot get device data.
Please make sure device are connect to PC and execute this update utility again."
It's connected fine through activesync, says connected and synchronized. I also soft reset and tried again to make sure that it was connected and keep getting the same error.
Help! Any ideas??? Please?
Oh well, I guess I shouldn't have started it on a day when my brain is working way below normal
I finally got the newer Rom on the device, but when attempting to do the radio update, I get the Error 201, also. I have re-established a partnership with active sync. The only thing I notice is that there is no name for the partnership. I know I have one with an iPAQ on another computer, but can't remember if there was one here.

The error you are getting is a bit misleading. The BAUpdate tool is trying to switch the phone into bootloader mode, and the phone for some reason is being uncooperative. This happens to me from time to time. The best, and quickest way around this is to force the phone into Bootloader manually. By pressing the record button, while doing a hard reset (Power + Reset) your phone will enter bootloader mode. You can verify this as the screen will say, Serial, and change to USB when you cradle it.
Once you cradle your phone, Windows will detect it as new hardware, and take a minute or two configure the right driver. Once this is complete, you can run the BAUpgrade utility again, and this time you will get past error 201.

I'm am also testing out a EXT rom the Mamiach baked up. If this is successfully, I'll post the updates, including my new EXT Rom cab files.
