We're pleased to announce the release of the new Mugen Power 2000mAh battery for the i-Mate PDA2K, O2 XDA IIs, T-Mobile MDA III, Qtek 9090, SPV M2000 & Blue Angel. This battery is a great third party replacement battery. For those who do not know Mugen Power, MP is a third party manufacturer of batteries for Pocket PC's, portable DVD Players, Digital Cameras and Camcorders, etc.
We are now accepting orders for this battery but we will only be shipping in January.
Below is a photo of the battery. The actual battery will be dark grey and not silver like shown in this picture. The silver model was the prototype. Product units will be grey.
If you look at the pics, it basically does away with the slight indentation in the standard battery, so it doesn't 'increase' the thickness of the device, it just makes it uniformly as thick as the top part of the unit for the entire legth of it.
Not bad. I may just have to invest in one of these. It kinda reminds me of the Silver Slider makeover for an i700 extended battery. Adds a little bulk but not too bad. Price is decent too.
Thanks everyone for your comments. We are waiting for the actual shipment to arrive and when it does we will let everyone know. (And of course begin shipping.)
We believe that this may be a good battery for its price. It does not add excessively to the weight and gives more power for the power user.
And the "Silver Slider" color was just for the camera. It helped show the differences between the two batteries (original and Mugen Power's). The actual production unit will be dark grey.
The best way to pre-order is to wait until it appears here or on our site that they have arrived. Unfortunately our site works in such a way that when someone places their order, it gets charged to their c/c right away. And there is no way around this. So, if you are interested in one, email me and I'll send you an email when they have arrived. Also, I will post it here that they have arrived.

I do hate suprises when you THINK it will and...
I wish I knew the answer to that one. The only answer i have is that the battery works with: i-Mate PDA2K, O2 XDA IIs, T-Mobile MDA III, Qtek 9090, SPV M2000 & Blue Angel.
Does the Sprint PPC-6601 use the same battery as any of those shown above? If so, then it will work. And, worst case scenario, we offer a 100% refund policy if it is incompatible.
PPC-6601/PPC-6600/VX6600 are the CDMA version of the same phone (i-mate PDA2K/QTek 9090/SX66/XDA IIS). If it works one phone it should work in all of them.
I received my confirmation from the manufacturer that the battery will fit the i-Mate PDA2K, O2 XDA IIs, T-Mobile MDA III, Qtek 9090, SPV M2000, Blue Angel, Simens SX66 & Sprint PPC-6601.
But it gets even better, they've got another model being released. I do not have the pricing yet but it will be a 3000mAh battery.
While the 2000 MAh battery seems just about perfect, I think the 3000 MAh version might be a bit over the top. You're going from bearable to bulky.
I guess this will work for those power users. At the end of the day though, I'd have to hold it in my hands to make a proper judgement. I think the 2000 MAh battery will be suitable for most of my needs. I might even ditch the regular battery and just have two 2000 MAh's with one as a backup.
After using the i700 slim battery (with an overclocked processor) I'm sure even the 6600's regular battery will hold up quite well.
Pictures of the 3000 MAh battery compared to the 2000 MAh and regular battery would be great though. Also, if possible, can we have pictures from a few more camera angles.

I agree that it may be more bulky. But, believe me, there are those that want POWER. Some people just can't get enough.
For example, we came out with a 2000mAh battery for the Toshiba 8xx series PDA's. That was great. Then we released a 3800mAh battery. We sold some but not as many as the 2000mAh. Finally we released a 5800mAh battery. It made the 8xx the size of a brink. Literally. We are selling these like there is no tomorrow!
So, we will have a new more powerful battery. More details (and more photos) soon!
With the 3000mAh battery and a 1 or 2 GB SD card, you have a true entertainment device that can play music and/or movies for an entire coast-to-coast flight. Oh, and it works as a phone at either end of that flight too!
I would love a large battery for my SX66. However, I am concerned about the added size making it difficult to find a carrying case for the unit. I really want the upcoming Javoedge Clear Case.
Will my SX66 fit into the cradle with this extended battery attached? or is the battery meant to be charged separately in the extra slot in the back of the cradle and then attached to the PDA?
