I am somewhat new to this stuff. Can you step me through the process of copying and running MSOpt to get the notification off the screen. I am still wanting a phone lock program to use that will allow me to answer the phone when it rings and give me the caller ID info. Dave's superlock worked pretty well but it did not recognize many of the phone numbers that were in my contacts list. It seems like yours addresses many of these issues but I could not get it to stop counting down and unlock the phone. I hate to make you walk me through getting the phone back to it's nomal mode but I don't know where else to turn.
Thanks for all you do to make these phones more useful.
This should fix the "any button" bug.
But I recommend to set a start or deactivation button anyway, since there's not much sense if MortSaver is deactivated with every button...
To remove the notification, run MSOpt.exe, select "Power off" and uncheck "Activate MortSaver every time the device is switched on".
When you say "run MSOPT.exe", I don't know how to do that. I had to sound ignorant but I'm not sure how to do that. I tried to find that file on file explorer and also in find file and I don't seem to be able to find it. Sorry again for not knowing better how to do this.

- copy the two files anywhere on your PPC
- run MSOpt and configure the app
- create a link in the start menu (copy + paste shortcut in file explorer)
- assign MortSaver to any application button (Start-Settings-Buttons) to activate it easily.
An installation programm will follow when the beta is (almost) in release state.

Also... where do I donate too?
The best way is to use PayPal, recepient address is mort@sto-helit.de.
OK, here's an installation program. It also removes all notifications and registry entries when it's removed (using the system's "remove programs").
There are also some new "hidden features" (as written above, I currently can't update the options program).
If you're comfortable with a registry editor (e.g. from PHM or Resco), you can set the following entries in HKCU\Software\Mort\MortSaver:
- Clock24, DWORD: 1=24 hour clock, 0=12 hour clock
- ShowTitle, DWORD: 1=shows title bar (useful with TPDisable), 0=hide title bar
- Message, String: A message that's displayed below the bettery/phone meters
I have to thank you for your hard work developing mortSaver, it's really very nice to develop such apps for free. I installed mortsaver (the version you posted above) in an iMate PDA2K and everything works fine except for the following scenario. When I have an incoming call that it doesn't get answered the screen goes off as expected but after a couple of secs it turns on again. The strange thing is that after the screen goes on mortsaver is still active which means that you cannot press any of the h/w buttons. Do you have any idea what may be causing this ?

I've no idea why... I don't think it's turned on by MortSaver. Maybe some system bug...

Why shouldn't it? Unless you deactivated it, that's the way it's indented.
If you deactivated it, maybe you checked "Activate MortSaver on every power on" (or s.th. like that...)?

What I mean is that after the screen turns on it remains on with taskbar and caption bar visible and the screen reads :
Mortsaver v2.0b10 is active.
Screen off after hang up
Really want to thank you for such a woderful utility, have it running on my SX66 and it works great most of the time. I am still trying to hunt down if SPB PocketPlus is creating some conflicts - on numerous ocassions, MortSaver would be unloaded as it reports the power button being pressed 2x in 10 seconds, but the SX66 was just sitting by itself, may be the pooling of battery by P+ has something to do with that?

But thanks for the work!
I have the same problem with Mortsaver saying the power button has been pressed twice, im using an XDAIIs, no pocket plus though
Should be solved with the current beta.
The problem occurs if "Activate on power on" is set. In this case, two wake up notifications were sent - one from the permanent activation, and one while MortSaver is running. The latter now is no more set if "activate on power on" is chosen.
I'll probably post another update with an updated MSOpt tomorrow...
