Its early for anyone to have a case ready for this device I suppose as its only been on sale (or available at least) for less than a week and only for an additional week before that in the Middle East. But I'm wondering about finding a nice case for this. Has anyone heard of any of the better manufacturers out there planning a case for the pda2k?
Peil Frama does have a case for the XDA III already. Its available through expansys right now. Its called the chairmans case.
I also hear that an aluminum and crystal case might be coming from proporta pretty soon too.
Tuff-as-nuts.com also has a leather case for this too. Not a flip, but a pocket that attaches to your belt. You would have to take it out for operation. However, with bluetooth that might not be neccessary to just handle phone calls.

I saw the Piel Frama case for it but was not terribly impressed this time. I'll look at the one on Expansys. I was hoping that Bellagio Designs would build a case. I really like their upgraded leather and like having my company name and logo put on the case. Its a bit expensive but it looks really nice. I called them and they don't build for the pda2k but they said they would look into it.
Again I hope to have a metal case for this device. (I ordered a PDA2K from Expansys and it is currently out of stock) I am even willing to forego the keyboard function if the design does not allow it.

Most metal case i-mate owners had to ditch the case because it hampered the call signal. Take care here. Google for the problem with the Proporta case and i-mate/XDAII

I have heard about the disrupted signal many many times. I don't have a problem myself with my own proporta case. In my own experience taking off the case and using it does not seem to result in better signal strength or voice quality.
Of course the XDA I has the antenna sticking out of the case.
When I get my PDA2K (the gods of finance willing) I will get an aluminum case for it too and post the results.
I have a Vaja case for my iPOD and I LOVE it. You can get it made in just about any color you can think of (and more than one color). I look forward to getting the Vaja case for my XDAIII as soon as they make it. Here's the XDA II case: http://www1.vajacases.com/images/sma...xda2_mda2.html
You can also get the cases here, with a whole bunch of other accessories as well. They only have the Black on Black versions, but they do have them in stock.
Krusell have on but, as usual, it looks bulky. It will be well made though and reasonably priced. Lot of accessories available to hang it off various places.
I hate flip cases. I just ordered an i-Mate PDA2k from expansys. I thought it came with a case.
I have this case (see picture below). its about 2 years old, and I got it for my iPAQ 5400. I use it with my i700, too. I plan on using it with my PDA2K, and don't anticipate any problems. I have a wallet case that is much better suited to carrying credit and business cards and the like...
Flip cases make me nervous. I always feel as though the stuff is going to fall out of the flap...

Chris, that case will work fine. I am using the case that came with my h6315 with my PDA2K and it is basically the same style. (The case that comes with the PDA2K is also the same style, just lower in quality and security.)
I had the case from EB for my XDA I. When I got my PDA2K EB did not have a case for it yet so I went with Piel Frama.
They have great customer service and I was really please with the shopping experience. The case itself is ok but I don't really care for how the device is held in place with a large piece clear plastic that covers a bunch of the screen. You can still tap the screen through it but it takes a bit more effort.
The real problem for me though is the belt clip. It is to easy to push. When ever I bend down I have to be careful because the phone unclips itself and has fallen off a few to many times.
The belt clip from EB is the best. I have the case from them on order now.
Just got my EB Slipper for the PDA2K and it lets you charge while in the case. It's a lot like the original i-mate case, but softer leather and magnetic flap catches instead of the wraparound catch. It also has a nice cutout in the back for the camera that is covered up when the flap is in place. Quite nice! I'll try to get some pics up soon.
