Tom tom help please

I've recentlu loaded the uk maps and tom tom 3 onto my imate/XDA II.

All seems fine until I try and use navigator, and it says GPS disabled. I have a bond set up with tom tom, but it wont seem to connect... Any help in lamens terms gratefully received! I see a page within bluetooth settings with reference to COM ports - I have no idea what these are supposed to be set to!

Thanks!
