I just got a MDA Pro from T-Mobile. Everything works fine, Active Sync via USB works, Surfing the Web via 3G works

BUT I can not get the USB-Modem-Driver to install on my WinXPSP2 laptop. T-Mobile ships a CD with the MDA Pro which contains a usbmdm.inf file, but when I try to install it, the laptop "complains", that there is no HW information stored in the file....

I am lost Any help is appreciated!

I have the Jasjar and decided to try the USB modem feature on my desktop and laptop. I followed the instructions (as follows) and it worked on both systems.

First disable the USB connection option in Activesync on your PC
Second start the Wireless modem application on your device and hit 'Start'
Next connect the device to your PC (make sure the driver CD is inserted)
Windows XP will identify the device as a USB modem and load the driver using the new hardware wizard.
Create a new dialup connection with this device using *99# as the number to activate GPRS connection.

This process took me less than five minutes and worked on both of my computers.
