O2 Exec fatal battery problem - Advice Please
Greetings:
I have a three-week old O2 Exec purchased over the phone with O2. Everything has been fine until yesterday.
I have what I believe is a fatal error of some sort, here is the sequence of events:
1) Battery was already very low yesterday, then I fell asleep and did not check the unit for 10 more hours. Found that there was absolutely no power so I figured to just connect the charger.
2) Upon connecting the charger, the left-side LED and right-side LED started flashing blue and red. Removed battery, tried again. Same thing.
3) I tried a hard reset. Nothing. Finally, just the right-side LED was a constant red wi
4) When unconnecting the charger, the right-side LED goes off.
5) Upon removing the battery now, and replacing it, the left-side LED comes on a constant blue. When I connect the charger, the blue LED goes off and the right-side LED comes on red.
That's where I've left it. When the blue LED is on, and I leave it that way for several minutes (without the charger connected) the unit gets warm like I've been talking for 30 minutes. Perhaps the unit is stuck in bluetooth mode and trying to draw power from the battery.
Could the battery or back-up be shot? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
