i get pdf attacments from work that arrive like this: <15642345.pdf> in the email.

when i download it, it says cant open file. when i try to save it, the file type says .PDF> and is greyed out so i cant change it. so the problem is the little > at the end.

i am able to setup my exchange email account on an iphone, instinct and ther phones and the file show up without the < > signs around it and the file opens up normally.

on windows mobile devices it download file but doesnt open. on the Palm pre it doesnt open either unless i forward t my aol account on the Palm pre and than it opens.

but on Pocket PC if i forward to aol account it still doesnt open.

the only way for me to open on Pocket PC is to forward to aol and open aolon a browser andthan the file open. veryannoying.

my tech friend was in the registry trying to figure out how to tell it to recognize the file ending in .pdf> and open in adobe but it didnt work. he did however get it to show the pdf logo next to the attachment.

PLEASE HELP AND WILL PAY!

what are the setings in your registry for yor .pdf extension?

under hkey classes root.

i am trying to figure out how to tell this phone to recognize a file that comes in like <12345678.PDF>

its the .pdf> that throwing it off i beleive.

i tried making a new file for .pdf> and copying the settings from the .pdf file but doesnt work.

what else do i need to do.
