All,
I have a Samsung i760 that shipped as WM6.0 and which I upgraded to WM6.1 through the official Verizon/Samsung files. I like the improvements overall, although I did not use WM6.0 for a long time to have a really detailed comparison. Two questions:
1. I got used to AS 4.2, WinXP, and Axim x51v on my previous rig, and I knew where on the XP machine to find the files that traveled back and forth. Now I am using Vista Business and the Mobile Center and the Samsung. The file folder is buried somewhere on the User folder. Can't find documentation to tell me where!
2. Today -- with my Samsung connected -- I clicked "Browse" in the Mobile Center next to the "Sync" icon. I saw that the Samsung device was named "\" -- that's right, just a backward slash. The 4GIG micro card shows up as a second repository as it should. So what went wrong, and can I just name this device memory anything I want with a tool in the Windows Explorer of the laptop? Is this an issue at all? Seems way too funky to me...
3. I am having sync trouble with DayNotz (
www.natara.com), Landware's Movie database (a cool hold-in-your-hand reference resource, by the way!) syncing correctly and want to turn OFF their sync pathways. I once found that choice buried in the Mobile Sync Center and can't find the prefs page again. Natara is working on WM6.1 issues some users are having with their software, and I hope it will also fix the sync glitches.
Any suggestions appreciated.
