WM6: Will it run most anything a Windows PC can run?
I've been toying with the idea of running a special software application that supports my hobby of train chasing. The software is known as ATCS Monitor (ATCSMon) and it allows me to stream data in from various internet sources that will show me railroad signaling systems.
Ordinarily, I'll have to lug a laptop around with me wherever I go, and that may still be the case when I go to areas without internet connected aggregators. But for areas that have these aggregators pushing data over the internet, I was wondering if I could feasibly run any WINDOWS compatible application on Windows Mobile 6 which I have on my AT&T TILT.
The software is WINDOWS based (I believe it also works on Mac) and simply requires an internet connection once it is successfully installed. I don't know how big the application and it's various data files are, so I'm not 100% sure if it'll even fit in the TILT's on board memory. (Can I run a program from the SD slot?)
The display may become the biggest issue assuming I can make the rest work, but I'm wondering as to the feasabilty first, and then will try to figure out how to shrink down the display or otherwise make it practical.
Thanks for the thoughts.
