"...Newbie..." or 'Another XV 6700 User" !
Hello to All; I'm Donald, I live in San Marcos, CA.
I have owned (but DO NOT), know how to use 2/3's of the features on this UT Starcom VX 6700, Pocket PC!
I'm a "returning" college student (State Voc. Rehab., third left-knee surgery) in 15 yrs. of faithful service to my local ('ungrateful') school district!
I went to my local Verizon Wireless Tech Store (in Carmel Mountain Ranch), and they were of NO help, what-so-ever! I have issues with this device...
On battery power, I push the 'on' button up-on-top, and the screen is blank!
The tech told me that " I " went into the programs menu and turned off the backlight!?! That doesn't make any sence to me!?! Why would I turn off the backlight, and then try to use the device? Just before I "...jumped up and down and yelled naughty words..." Lisa, the Tech Mgr., talked to me and told me that there is a 'glitch'! And the software repair is NOT yet available!
I also have a problem when I recieve a call, the volume drops way down, to the point where it is very diffcult to hear the incoming call.
So, by way of introductions (You all "[b]NEEDED[b]" ), to know all of that...
