I am about to purchase a 755p i was wondering how you install new software on the phone (fist order of all the file remover program recomended

go to palm man, there is a hotsync desktop program for max osx works great

I just use bluetooth to send the file over to the Treo - it's a lot faster than having to sit through an entire sync. The OSX version of Palm Desktop is still a PowerPC binary -- it's not very speedy if you're running an Intel Mac.
