Can't get Windows Media Player to recognized my Treo 755p

I am just starting to use the Treo 755P and wanted to load some music to use with PTunes. I read the Sprint provided manual and it was no use. It said to use Windows Media Player to do it, but when I tried that Windows Media Player 9 didn't show my Treo on the device list.

Digging a little deeper, I found at the PocketTunes website an answer here... NormSoft, Inc. Knowledge Base .: I can't see my device in the drop-down list in Windows Media Player. **Updated 9/28/05
  1. You must first connect your device to the hotsync cable or cradle, whichever applies.
  2. Turn the device on.
  3. Start Pocket Tunes
  4. ONLY THEN should you start Media Player. If you start Media Player first, your device will not be seen in the Sync list (in MP9, it is the "copy to" box).
  5. If the device is manufactured by Sony, make sure you use the "Connect to PC" option in the "Actions" menu of Pocket Tunes.
  6. If you are using a Treo 600, you may need to disable PDA Net. PDANet is installed on the PC. The icon can be found in your task bar, lower-right corner (if installed). Right-click the icon and either close or disable the program.
  7. At this point, your device should be listed as connected.
  8. Select the songs to sync, then click the "start sync" button (In MP9, it is the "Copy) button).
My problem is I'm using Bluetooth for HotSync, so I didn't have a cable attached.
