Having a Bluetooth Hotsync problem

I followed the directions (loosely) at Palm - Handheld Computing Solutions) for setting up Bluetooth Hotsync between a Treo 755p and Thinkpad T60 and it worked once, but doesn't seem to want to play again. I'm getting the "Connecting with desktop using .... " message... and after about 30 seconds it times out and says "The connection between yuor handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again." Not a lot to check here, so wondering what I should be looking for.

I went back through the setup and found that I had missed a setup step on the Thinkpad. It is puzzling that it worked once however. You need to basically setup a virtual com port on the desktop/laptop and then assign that port to Hotsync's Local option. The com ports were already there but the wrong com port number was identified in Hotsync. If this happens to you, you need to click on the tray icon for Hotsync, then go into Setup, and then make a change in the Local tab to the com port. It must match an available virtual com port that you've setup in your Bluetooth configuration on the desktop/laptop.
