VW signal issues?

Hi All,

Have any of you had problems with signal on Verizon? I just bought a 755p on Verizon for my wife because her 650 was having issues in our house where she would get a voicemail and never have received a call, not be able to send a text out, or not be able to call out. Sometimes this was remedied by turning the phone off and back on, but I thought maybe it was just getting worn out, which is why we got the 755p. Now it seems to be having the same issues with the 755p. Verizon doesn't report any service issues in our area. I occasionally have a similar problem with my 700p both at home and at work. Has anyone else had any problems with signal in buildings? Any solutions? A neighbor does have a ham radio antenna not too far from our house, has anyone noticed problems around these towers? Any problems with running a wireless router in your house and that causing problems? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

John, both Smartphones experiencing the same problem like you describe would indicate that the problem is outside of them. Perhaps you're just marginal into the cell towers from both locations. I seriously doubt if it's your Ham neighbor's equipment as the frequencies that all Hams operate on are not even near the cellphone frequencies (800 MHz band). Full disclosure: I'm a Ham and own all three - 650, 700P, 755P (all on Verizon), and have no problems with any of them - but then again, I live within line-of-sight of the cell tower, which would mean the cell radios are running in a "full-quieting" mode (all bars up).
