i got my wife a Treo 700Wx.

some issues

i notice a little telephone icon on the same line of the bluetooth where it says sprint. i never saw that on my Treo 700Wx. what is it?

also i notice when its cradled, it wont connect to internet explorer or check my aol mail account. it gives an error message that is cant connect with the current settings?

i dont know why this is happening. i tried hard reset and reinstalling activesync too. i was having syncing issues as well.

I have not seen the icon that you speak of. I have looked on my phone at all the settings to see if I could get one to come up. Nothing. Can you provide a screen shot of your phone screen. That might help out a bit. Also when you click on it, does it do anything or open up anything?

As for checking the AOL mail when cradled, you might want to check you activesync settings. Also would be helpful to know if you are connecting using XP or Vista on the PC you are having the issue with. Vista uses Windows Mobile Device Center so the settings are a little different there but very close to what activesync has.

i have tried reinstalling it and also checked all settings. its so weird. sometimes the connection just disconnects for no reason.
i am using windows xp.
