I recently changed to the 700WX from the PPC 6700. I liked the 6700 but the cell reception was terrible. Of course I had just gotten the 6700 "dialed in" when I decided to go with the 700WX.
I've tried searching without any luck. Can some please help me with the following?
1) My LED functions correctly when charging but once I unplug, I no longer get a blinking LED.
2) I have set my email to save sent items. Where are they? They do not show up on my sent file.
3) Is there any way to set my side volume control button to "scroll down" in Explorer?
1.) on the treo the led only blinks orange when you are out of service, red when the battery is low and green while on a call. You can of course get a 3rd party app to force it to blink for messages and such.
2.) Should be saving in the sent folder as long as you have it set up properly or your messages are in the outbox if they are not sent... check that out.
3.) If I recall correctly when I had a 6700 there was a reg hack you could use. Should be able to use the same hack on the 700wx. Don't hold me to that though.
I also made the switch about a month ago.
1) From what I read the LEDs only show out of service, low/charging battery, and full charge. Palm disabled the rest of the LED functions to sabe battery life.
2) My 700wx saves my sent messages for my POP accounts. On my exchange push mail it does not show them. But they are are on the server.
3) Once the page is fully loaded you can use the volume buttons to scroll the page. I did nothing to enable this function.
yeah the side buttons do NOT scroll IE on the 700WX without a registry hack.
This is odd. I have not done anything that would affect the volume buttons. I have found that this only works in PIE running in full screen mode. It does not work in any other program. I did try smart key when I first got the 700wx but I have done a few a hard resets since.
Maybe this weekend I'll try a reset again.
***EDIT***
I just checked and smatkey was installed and running. So I guess that the volume button scroll function does work. The dialer functions do not.
