UsbSwitch

What is the UsbSwitch? Is there any way to get rid of it?

It allows you to switch the connection mode when you plug in the sync cable. Either RNDIS (default - USB networking) or Serial USB (think of it as a "dumb" usb device like a memory stick or printer). I personally use Serial since it gives me less trouble when connecting to my computer/network.

If you don't think you need this you can remove it from the start menu.

You should be able to browse to \windows\start menu\program and remove it from there using File Explorer.

Removing it from the start menu won't remove it from your device. I have to ask, why bother then?

Maybe he just wants to clean out un-needed stuff from the programs menu? I always remove Help, Quick Tour, and Search since I never need them.
