so i'm new to this site and new to my treo 700. I'm interested in ewallet but i'm not sure what you mean by "(but SyncPro is broken by WM5)". Would you please explain and would you still recommend the program?
I just purchased ewallet a little while ago and haven't had a chance to play with it very much. However, from what I read, ewallet had a special way to sync via SyncPro that wasn't working right in WM5. However, it seemed that there was a fix developed by Ilium for this also (haven't tried it myself). The new ewallet version 4.1 advertises an improved syncronization wizard also, as well as full support for the 700w. I am waiting to get that version before I try anything in ewallet.
I upgraded to 4.0 a few weeks ago and had a problem with their SyncPro. I contacted their support and they sent me to a link that had the fix for it... worked great.
I got the email today to upgrade to 4.1 which now adds "strong 256-bit RC4 key encryption, a built-in password generator, and an improved synchronization wizard. It also improves support for Windows Mobile 5.0 and Palm Treo devices."
I just installed 4.1 on my PC and my Treo and it works great... no problems with the SyncPro. Just make sure that you fire up eWallet on both your PC and your Treo so it can upgrade to the 256-bit encryption and convert your wallet file to the newer format. When you run SyncPro the first time, be prepared for it to take a while (it did for me, as I have many years of data stored in my wallet).
I really enjoy playing this version of SuDoku. It has a timer, keeps a score and keeps a player rating. You need to use a stylus (probably faster than the keyboard anyway) for dedicated input boxes for each square. My only complaint is in the way they implemented 240x240 support. Instead of eliminating the timer bar or the menu bar, and instead of having a full-screen board, they shortened the square board so that about a third of our already small screen is just blank space. Wish you could have a full-screen board option that hides the other options. Otherwise, this version works great!
Version 2 was released yesterday and works with a few square screen restrictions. One new feature is disabled for square screens that provides an alternative candidate input method by tapping a portion of a square where the candidate would go. Since the board isn't full screen for square screens it is too small to implement. The other issue is that candidates don't show as numbers but as generic boxes where each specific candidate number would go. Workable but with an added degree of difficulty. Otherwise there is many enhancements to v2 compared to v1 for square screens including advanced statistics for each of six levels (Simple, Easy, Medium, Hard, Very Hard and Sudoku Master!). The advanced statistics for each level (over and above the accumulated score for each level) include: number of games played, best score, worst score, average score, fastest time, slowest time, average time. The time even goes out to days as well as hours, minutes and seconds.
One downside is that it supposedly takes around 8 MB RAM to run. So it's best to do a soft reset before launching and not be doing very much else at the same time.
Mastersoft was very responsive in both their forum and via email. They are experimenting with possible enhancements to the square screen interface. I gave the developer some information on the 700w including a link to this forum and he is pretty sure he will purchase a 700w which he can use for testing as well. He gave a good indication that he would not only try to enhance the square screen layout but also to optimize the memory footprint.

SK Tools work fine. Very reasonably priced and I am impressed with the collection of tools with a lot of features. Works well with WM5.
SK is Much better than Memmaid, which destroyed my VC feature. Handango asked the Memmaid developer to contact me but they never did. Got my money back.

I just moved my copy of PVM over from my iPaq rx3115. Other than the screen being somewhat more condensed it looks and feels like it did on the iPaq. And that fact that the data transfered without issue means I'm one step closer to retiring my iPaq altogether!!
Ive been using IM+, its ok. but nothing great. im like the free trial of verichat alot more. but hating the fact that it goes into stand by mode within a minute of non use, meaning that u cant receive incoming im's. IM+ has the same problem. this is more of a problem with the phone than the programs. All and all i find verichat more user friendly and compatable with the 700.
