ScanR is reporting release of a whiteboard-capture application specifically for the 700w that allows one to snap an image of a whiteboard and email it as a .pdf. But so far I haven't gotten it to work. It says it requires a ``newer version of the MS .NET Compact Framwork than the version installed on this device.''
Omega 1-calc works, but the number buttons are scrunched to fit the square screen.
On the xv6600 I really liked the large keys that I could press with my fingers. With the 240*240, one would hae to use the stylus, which, for me, reduces the utility of the program.
On the positive side, Sunnysoft Backup manager seems to work just fine.
Just a suggestion, might we want to include version numbers with the software? I tried Agile Messenger it aside from only being able to access MSN, the preferences screen wasn't fully displayed. Same thing with Egress, I couldn't access all of the screen and it slowed the Treo down something awful.

Does anyone know of a tool like Pocket Mechanic that will work on the 700w? I loaded Pocket Mechanic 1.6 based on what I read above, and on some significant screens, you cannot scroll to the bottom to click the delete or close button. E.g. the System clean-up. It will identify the files to be deleted, but then you cannot get to the bottom of the screen to perform the task.
I'm mostly concerned because I want to defrag my 1 gig SD card and now have nothing to do this with and truthfully am afraid to try now. I don't want to take a change on corrupting my SD card. Any suggestions? I really like Pocket Mechanic, but don't know how long it will be before they come out with an upgade.
Also, along that vein, has anyone tested a good backup program? I had Sprite Backup on my Samsung i700, but after going to their web-site, they are not ready for PPC 05 yet either.
Has anyone tried the i700 version of Sprite Backup on their 700w? Please advise. Thanks!
As I had indicated above, Sunnysoft backup Manager seems to work well. They have a 14 day free trial, which is fully functional.
Among other things, it allows backup to a storage card as a self- extracting .exe file. So you can restore everything on the go without any access to a computer. Also it allows scheduled backups.
I am using Cerience's Repligo software upgraded to WM 5.0.
Seems to work well on the Treo 700W so far. It uses only a little memmory and my 97 page Repligo file is viewing with no problem. You create the repligo file on your desktop (Word and Excel are particulary easy, but any program will work including adobe), transfer it to the Treo and view. It is not a memory hog at all. Cerience has a free trial. Make sure to download the very ltest version, since earlier versions are not WM 5.0 compliant.
This may be a lower memory alternative to .pdf files.
Originally posted by levinda Unfortunately, Binary Fish All In One Mobile Casino does not seem to work on the 240*240. Not all the info shows on the screen.
I'm depressed, since I really enjoyed video poker (jacks or better) when waiting in line.
Anyone know a casino program that works with the 700w?
I'm looking for the same thing... I'm shocked there aren't very many games out for the 700w. I used to play blackjack/poker/slots all the time on my old phone. Would love to have that again (something with decent graphics).
*The only one I've tried is SiriuCE, the free one for Sirius and it works on the 700w. I can't say whether or not the others work, but if you test them out please post here.
I saw the posts for memMaid .
I have this installed on my device and it seems to work as far as cleaning temp files etc.
However, when I try to load the .dll optimizer the screen won't refresh and give any option to transfer dll files to the card. I have saved some memory in the past by doing this.
I have gotten this program to work on other windows mobile 05 devices.
anyone else having similar issues with this software?
also other dinarsoft software working but "buggy" and in bad need of 240 x 240 re vamping
I exchanged e-mails with Isotope244 and they have a beta version and a patch for Atomic Cannon that fixes the display issues on the Treo 700W. I installed them and they work perfectly.
Note - the beta and the patch are only for registered users at this point.
