Which Version of Desktop?
I have a version of Desktop I don't see anyone else talking about: 6.2.2.

Is this the wrong one? It seems to run OK. It's very little different from the 4.x.x versions I see most folks mentioning.

That version is fine for you to run with. It is the current one which works with Windows Vista. Previous versions do not work on Vista.
