Good grief. I'm exhausted just reading this...

I don't even have my Treo yet, but knowing the months of agony I spent before deciding on a Bellagio case for the Clie (and before that a Vaja for a Visor), I need to start thinking about this now.

I've made it through about 1/2 the pages in this post and I'll keep reading, but I'm not seeing the answer here yet... so I'm hoping you case experts can help me out.

Here are my conditions:
1. Female - never wear a belt... ever! But, usually, I have something a case could be clipped to (purse, waistband) if the clip isn't too bulky.

2. Am unlikely to go jogging with it or anything (jogging... bahahaha), but I am a klutz who is always dashing off to class or a meeting and often have some of my herd of children jostling me. So, I need it to protect pretty well.

3. Did I say I'm a klutz? I used my clie exactly 1 day without a case on it and managed to drop it in a stairwell onto a nice industrial linoleum over concrete floor, fugging the finish. So, I will want something on it to keep me from throwing it on the ground regularly.

4. I loved my Vaja and Bellagio cases, but since then have decided not to buy leather (personal, so it isn't an indictment of anyone else at all... rock on with the cow hide! ) and I'm not seeing many non leather cases.

5. I work in an academic setting, so it doesn't have to be super professional, but then again, being a prof. is dweeby enough, so I try not to add to my dorkitude more than I need to.

Given all of that, I would take any advice you've got!

I narrowed my search down between the Seidio and the Nutshell. I eventually went with the Seidio for a host of reasons dissimilar from yours. I have had the Seidio now for almost two months and couldn't be happier.

However, given your criteria, I would definitely not recommend the Seidio and would instead heartily recommend the Nutshell, provided you could overlook your aversion to leather. Even though I have never tried it, from all accounts, the clip model with flap would fit your criteria perfectly (except, of course, it is leather).

Happy hunting.

Has anyone had problems getting an order with seidio? I have ordered a holster for my 6700 2 weeks ago, tried calling, tried e-mailing, tried feedback, with no answer whatsoever. My order is listed as "not finalized".. They have my order (2 actually) with my CC#, and was ordered 2 weeks ago. I cannot get them to give me a response.. The order listed as "not finalized" has no options, and is not asking for anything. I have put my e-mail addresses with order numbers in all feedback sent. As well as phone numbers.

I would prefer to go with someone else now.
Seidio need a customer feedback system where people can complain, not happy with their service.

If you are looking for a holster, I just went from a Seidio to a Helix. So far, I like the Helix much better. The clip mechanism seems less fragile, it sits lower on my waistband, and it doesn't get gummy stuff all over my space bar. The Helix I have does not swivel. It is vertically oriented which is the only way I used my Seidio. Best of all, it is $10 cheaper.

I think you'd be happy with the Nutshell

Check out the nutshell, because I think it will offer you the most customized case for your situation. Make sure you put your cursor over the range of clips, no clips, flaps, no flaps, etc....
They even have a case that is just a pouch with no clips or flap!!

Well my wife is a very trendy corperate executive with excellent taste and she loves her nutshell case. Unfortunately they dont give much protection for your phone when its out of the case.

Many leather cases offer great scratch protection but come with lock release swivel clips that stick way out and do not protect your phone when dropped since a thin layer of leather isnt much of a cusion.

Seidio makes an excellent skin holster combo that offers protection from drops, doesnt stick out and from what I hear, its easy to use. http://www.seidio.com/holster.htm

Many Treo users love the piel frama http://www.pielframa.com/palmone_treo_650_eng.htm but the clip sticks out and it seems like a bit mutch, overdone and hard to use.

Many also love the vaja but I think their the same as the piel firma, over done (silly looking), fat clip. http://www.vajacases.com/images/smar.../treo_650.html (and those clips are not very safe!)

A popular solution is a silicon skinned treo in a sidekick case. http://store.treocentral.com/content.../4-54--137.htm http://search.ebay.com/search/search...ase&category0=
