I hold the phone pinky, ring and middle finger on one side, thumb on the other and press the bottom of the holster down with the index finger. For me its a complete grip on the phone with the easiest holster to use. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mrjame...1f.jpg&.src=ph

But if you like I'll send you this one for free. It comes out top first. http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductD...tCode=HLTR650A

man, i tried taking the treo out top first from the proclip,,thats tough. I dont know how you do that.

Wish Holster

Too bad Seidio won't make a T600/T650 holster like this Samsung I300...

http://www.seidioonline.com/ProductD...tCode=SHLSM300

Simple lock-type swivel and faces outward.

Hi,

I am very interested in your inputs

1) why do you think swivel lock is important ?
2) why are you interested in face out instead of face in ?

or any special requirements about the holster for Treo 650.

Wish list...

David,

Thanks for your interest, I was hoping a MFG would take some interest.

1) why do you think swivel lock is important ?
A: The swivel is important to rotate the device when in different positions (standing vs seated). It doesn't have lock but just rotate.

2) why are you interested in face out instead of face in ?
A: The face in models require that you remove the Treo to use it, the face out models do not. A majority of the face-out models are bulky swivel clips (hang off your waist and tend to bump into armrests, walls, etc.)
In my example of your clip holster for the Samsung I300, that holster was easy to use. It was the same effort to remove the holster from my waist, than to pull many of today's swivel clip holsters. There was no requirement to remove the device from the holster to use the deice. It basically was a sleek extention of the phone/pda.

or any special requirements about the holster for Treo 650.

I have your Seido "swivel locking clip holster - cradle type", but have stopped using it as it is wearing/scratching my Treo, as I'm constantly taking in-n-out to use it. If this only allowed the Treo to face-out...

This is a great holster otherwise. It doesn't cover the power/sync ports and is very light/sleek. It also would allow for e-grips on the sides of the Treo.

Hey GhengisEEK is this the holster you have, and do the scratches come from these little notches? http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mrjame...b8.jpg&.src=ph

David Chang I know you question was directed towards GhengisEEK but I assume all feed back is welcome.
I think the swivel is important as GhengisEEK mentioned when sitting many chairs are in the way of the phone until you turn it 90 degrees. I sit back but lean my upperbody forward. I dont see a great purpose for the nonlocking but the locking may also suit individuals who hang over the belt a little. They may perfer the phone upright when clipped on a certain part of the belt but may need to swivel it 90 degrees if they slide the phone to an area on the belt where they hang over a bit. I constantly slide my phone from the back to the side and to the front. Facing out is great but only if the holster detaches from the clip. It is easier to push a button and remove the holster and phone from the clip and use it in the holster. But the removable swivels are very bulky.

I myself would never use a clip where the phone faces out but I know many perfer them.

Im glad Seidio is redisigning this holster http://store.treocentral.com/content...-24--155-2.htm and I will be eager to purchase one when they are ready.

Seidio realizes how precious Treo 650 to the owner. Therefore, Seidio is doing the best it can to protect Treo 650 from any possible damage.

For Treo 650 holster from Seidio, a protection pad is attached to the holster and the sharp edges are manually polished and smoothed out. May be the one you have is a deviation.

Please contact rma@seidio.com for exchange.

David hade you herd anything about the back side of Seidio holsters being alittle rough? I spent about 30 minutes trying to smoothe this one out http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mrjame...53.jpg&.src=ph

I also wanted to put this pic up. After using the Seidio clip type for awhile (which takes more than normal pressure to get the phone in and out), while waiting for proclip to get thier product out, now that I have the proclip It feels like its to easy to move the phone in and out of the clip, so I took a good look at the bottom of the phone.

From your picture of proclip holster bottom, It seems that Treo 650 is not very secure while it is in the holster. When someone accidently bumps into the phone or the antenna, Treo 650 will fall out of the holster and drop to the floor. Can you take another picture of Seidio clip type holster (the one that allows you to remove Treo from the bottom) to see what is the difference. It will be interesting.

I still think the hoslter (like Seidio cradle type) that allows you to remove Treo 650 from the top is a better choice. It is easy to use and also secure and natural.

Maybe this is the reason why Proclip holster is easier to move the phone in and out.

Just my opinion.

Heres the proclip. Could someone with a t600 and a t600 proclip please let use know if this is odd or was the t600 proclip the same way. If so then proclip is a marvel of engineering with the least weight, size and ease of use without loosing all needed security, because as I mentioned my old t600 was always very secure in the t600 proclip even though I was very active.

PLease contact rma@seidio.com to replace the holster with the updated version. For updated version, the edges and tips have been manually polished and smoothed out.

Maybey Proclip is not all its cracked up to be

I was kneeling down to read my youngest daughter a book and the edge of my phone cought the bookshelf. I wasnt moving very fast and it didnt catch it in a forcefull way. I was even wearing some pretty baggy workout pants which should have allowed the phone to be pushed out of the way. But my cheap little proclip snapped in 2 with a surprisingly small amount of pressure. Thank goodness the room was carpeted and by that time I was closer to the floor because my phone fell strait to the ground. I felt bad for mentioning, when I reviewed the proclip, that they look as if they were made in someones garage and that I had to glue the clip to the holster because it would slide apart without a pen press (because that may have only been mine) but I see now they are just not made well.

David Chang when will the redisigned Seidio clip type holster for the treo 650 be out?

Just got a new Pacific Rim leather treo 650 case. http://www.pacrimtechnologies.com/ca...7fe0cf7e0cfae7

The good:

1) Its tight and small, you barely know its there
2) the swivel lock/release alllows easy on/off from the hip
3) all ports are open, sd, power/data, camera, stylus, side buttons
4) forward facing so you never need to remove it from the case
5) screen coverd for protection
6) buttons not covered for easy use
7) even though the screen is coverd you can still use the touch screen

The bad:

1) I guess theres no way to make a low profile lock/release swival
this clip like all the others is fat and sticks the phone a foot out from the hip
2) some of the buttons are half covered, leather stretches of course but what a pain waiting until it does, and will it stretch enough, it dosent look like it
2) theres no reason in the world that these female lock releases should be made out of such cheap plastic

Krussel makes plenty of metal holders http://www.krusell.se/mcategory.php?...odGrp=8&cat=37 but none for the clip on type, why why why ???
