Hotsync with a dead screen?
My son's T6 recently took a little swim. It's dried out, and powers up now, but the screen is white. You can tell it's trying to draw stuff, it flashes, black lines appear and disappear, but the screen is unreadable.
The screen responds to taps with beeps, but I don't know if the sensor is correctly spotting where I'm tapping.
There are dozens of photos on this phone that I'd like to get off of it.
So far, I've taken the replacement phone and replicated the startup with taps to similar places on the drowned Treo. Pushing the button on the USB cable doesn't start the Hotsync.
I think the OS is ok, and the photos may still be there, but is there anyway to hack into the phone to coax them out when I can't use the screen?
Thanks for any ideas.
