new treo user needs help

i only came to this site from word of mouth and am just a new treo user. the questions you might think are stupid, but i have to ask anyway.

i just bought a new treo 600 for only 200. i only want it for 5 or 6 months until the samsung i550 comes out. but i am going to get used to the smart phones cause thats all im going to buy now. the reason why i got the treo knowing i wouldnt have it that long it cause of the price and i wanted to get used to the smart devices.

just a few questions:

i know if you program a number in your favorites buttons you can do something similar to a hard pause that ive used in other phones, but im wondering if you can do more than one hard pause in a programmed number? i could only figure out one pause.

also im wondering how to play back mp3s. i saw a program you can download as a player, but im not really sure the steps in doing everything.

i do have to say i love the phone and want to become an expert on these devices. ive been a sanyo lover for sprint for a long time now and wanted a little more out of my phones.

any help i would really appreciate it and any helpful hints that anyone might know would be great. thanks a lot

Don't know about hard pauses but I use commas to do soft pauses.

For mp3s, you can download a free player (pocket Tunes) by registering your Treo using the cd that came with it. You will need a SD card to store the mp3s on as well as a SD card reader to transfer the mp3s onto the card (trying to hotsync multiple mp3s would take hours, card reader will do it in seconds). If you bought the Treo used or do not have the cd or for whatever reason cannot get your hands on a free copy of the pocket Tunes software, you can always purchase it (relatively inexpensive). Other mp3 players for the T600 include Real Player and MMPlayer.
