I heard that Handspring may be giving a credit if I already own a Treo. Is this true?

Yes it is.... Handspring is still in talks with the various carriers trying to wrap up a plan to reward current Treo owners with a credit towards the purchase of the 600. Since the carriers will be the main sellers of the device, HS is trying to finalize a plan that would require the customer only deal with their carrier for the credit rather than deal with 2 companies. Rumor has it that the credit may be as substantial as $100 off, encouraging loyalty for existing customers who have often felt taken for granted by carriers who only reward new customers with credits.
