You cannot "unlock" the Treo 300. Actually its more accurate to say, get teh MSL code for the treo 300. Anyway...even if you could get the MSL, it wouldn't be any use b/c it wouldn't work with any other wireless provider in NA. Verizon uses primarily cdma 800 MHz while Sprint uses cdma 1900 Mhz. Also, its unlikely you coudl get 1xrtt to work on other networks as well...
Although the previous post may be right about other carriers. I know AllTel will activate some phones and Vzon has been known to be open to this.
And the Treo IS only 1900 Mhz, what this means is this since Vzon is primarally 800 in most of their areas you could be in trouble. Vzon grew to its present size by acquiring smaller companys some that are 800 some that are 1900. Your only saving grace if you find a carrier to activate it, say Vzon since they let you roam you could possibly roam onto their 1900 band if it's in your area. Touchy possibility, but the HighSpeed network is the same between Sprint and Vzon basic spec wise.
So basically it is possible to unlock it, that's the easy part. Hard part is finding another carrier that would activate it that has 1900 Mhz coverage in your area.

Or you could just sell your current T300 on ebay for, say, $160 and get one on T-Mobile if you're looking to switch from SPCS. Amazon is currently selling the 270 for $49.99 with activation.

i need to unlock my 2 treo 300's from sprint. can anyone help? also would it go with cingular wireless? i have seen a lot of these unlocked on ebay so i thoght it would work and they all say you can connect to different carriers.
How do I unlock my Treo 300?
1. Turn on your Treo 300
2. Access the Palm Desktop (Blue Shift Key + Home Button)
3. Keep pressing the Blue Shift Key + Home Button until the “System” menu is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.
4. Tap the “Prefs” icon
5. Tap the menu in the upper right corner of the screen and select “Network”
6. On the “Network screen”, Tap “Details”
7. On the “Details Screen”, Tap “Modify”
8. On the “Details Network Edit” screen, Tap “OK”
9. Enter the Unlock Code
10. You may now enter the network address information from your service provider.
