So if consumers were hurt by the price fixing, why does the gov't get the money. They weren't hurt and if they were their total PC purchases were less than all of th consumers purchases combined. I guess they should force those found guilty of wriiting out checks like Steve Martins character in the move "The Jerk" now that would be just punishment.

Its all a big conspiracy between the government and Samsung!

Because Samsung actually made 600M with the price fixing, and the government said:

"We'll split it with you"
