Makes you want to cry, don't it?

The Law Offices of Stan S. Mallison in Lafayette, California, is currently investigating the filing of a class action against PalmOne concerning product design and/or product defects in its Treo 600.

As has become evident, Treos appear to suffer from a number of issues including: intermittent buzzing and other sound quality issues which make the Treo essentially useless as a phone.

The Treo is sold as an elite high-end consumer and business product. The Treo 600 has clearly failing to meet its advertised characteristics in a large number of instances.

If you purchased a Treo or other similar product and are having any of the above listed problems we would like to hear from you. Please contact the Treo Case Administrator at via e-mail at

This does make you cry. People should always test before purchasing. As a business phone with PIM integration the TREO's need to learn from Kyocera 7135. Luckily many individuals have created software that takes care of the missing functionality. Unfortunately at the price you pay for this phone you should not have to buy additional software to correct phone application limitations. The lawyers just have to much time on their hands. The problems listed above are minor although annoying. Besides everyone knows if you integrate a computer with a dedicated device your going to have trouble. Most of the time caused by poorly designed software. Imagine a car with engine management software run on windows. CTL-ALT-DEL

Exactly. Law schools keep pumping out more every year and they need to find work. They go looking for trouble, and if they can't find it they'll create it.

Would have thought that Kyocera would have been the first one for the 7135. Although I suppose there is more Treo 600's out there....

I'm now starting to think that this lawsuit is justified after spending an hour plus today trying to get my ATT (now Cingular) Treo 600 replaced. I have called them three times now to complain about the buzzing and today I got a total run around when I finally actually asked for a replacement. I cannot make or receive a call because of the buzzing and because I told Cingular that my antenna was a bit loose they would not replace my phone. This is unacceptable!

The 650 gets "buzzing" too, but only if the vibrate reminder goes off when you are on a call, and "zaps" the person calling you, hee hee
