Is the dash worth the switch?

I'm thinking of switching from sprints ppc 6700 to the t mobile dash. Some things I am curious bout is the internet experience on the dash. How is it? Does opera work on the dash. All I really use my phone for is composing email, text messages, music, and getting on the internet. I dont really need to compose documnets. Does anyone think this would be a good move? Plus I like the fact that I am not limited with the fact that its a GSM phone and I can buy a variety of unlocked phones if I'm not happy with the dash.

First I'll say what I always do--make sure T-Mo will give you good service. Don't switch carriers for a device.

With that said, there is no Opera for WM5 Smartphone, so you won't have that choice in browsers. The Smartphone 2003 version does work, but I found it to be a little unstable on my Moto Q and the fonts are way too small for me (that could be the age of my eyes).
There is Opera Mini, which requires Java. I tried IBM's J9 Java environment. OM works well when it works, but again, the entire Java/OM combination is unstable on my device--it just lock up periodically.
Pocket IE is pretty good on WM5 Smartphone devices, so it's definitely worth a try.

I've had the dash for about a month and a half, yes it does have it's faults but over all I think it is a great phone. I'm coming from a hp6315 and even though I lost the touch screen the size is well worth the loss.

Send a message via AIM to awdturbo02

I went to the local T-mobile store and the phone seemed really slow to me. Is it slow for you or am I just expecting to much from it?q
