One of my favorite
PDAPhone applications is SlingPlayer Mobile. I run it on a
Pocket PC based device, but it should work equally well on any
PDAPhone that it supports. There is nothing quite like being able to access your home media while on the road. We have a couple of Tivos at home and together with SlingPlayer, it is quite useful for catching up on games, watching a movie in the airport, or watching your local news while traveling. Up until now, the Symbia folks were left out of all the fun, since Sling Player Mobile was only supported on
Palm and Windows Mobile devices. Now
Symbian device owners can join in the fun.
SlingPlayer Mobile software is now available in the U.S. for select Nokia Nseries and Eseries devices running S60 3rd edition software on
Symbian OS, including the just released US HSDPA version of the Nokia N95. For a limited time Sling Media is offering Nokia N95 current and future handset owners in the U.S. a discount on Slingbox AV. In addition, all U.S. Nokia N95 customers will receive a free version of SlingPlayer Mobile (a $29.99 value). Complete details can be found at
