Forum suggestions for the disenfranchised (like Robert K.)

This board spawned a community of users who have known each other for about 1.5 years. Originally the 6035 was the only game in town. Then many went the i300 route, and recently more are buying the treo 300. What most of us seem to have in common is our desire to have a CDMA-PalmOS based smartphone (to the exclusion of GSM, PocketPC, Stinger, Symbian, Danger, and Rim many of which are/will be neato and have a high gee-wiz factor, but not necessarily practical to the majority who need CDMA and PalmOS for one reason or another).

Many users will be trying several CDMA-PalmOS devices as they appear, and switching back and forth. Therefore, I most humbly suggest the focus for this board be expanded to include all CDMA-PalmOS smartphones. The url doesn't need to be changed as it would still fit. The only changes needed would be a forum shuffle and updated graphic.

Suggested forum shuffle:

Legacy smartphones
-kyocera 6035
-samsung i300

Kyocera 7135
-discussion
-faq
-files

Treo 300
-discussion
-faq
-files

Samsung i500
-discussion
-faq
-files

Samsung i330
-discussion
-faq
-files

The nice thing about a setup such as this as it would be easier to keep forums on topic. And while www.smartphonetalk.com includes the whole gamut of convergence, it does not have the history or community that this board has built up.

As long as Robert has to wear a Scarlet T this plan seems appropriate. Though the Samsung i300 & i330 seem more like evolutionary takes on the 6035 smartphone than second (3rd for PDQ guys) generation phones like the 7135, i500 and Treos

That's right, Texas: It's a whole nuther country! I can't imagine what it would be like to live in an area where states are the size of our county's. Can't say I approve of our gubernatorial options currently. We have the prince of darkness vs. a buffoon (and I'll leave it at that).

I tend to agree with you. Only reason I didn't lump i330 as a legacy as it is supposed to support vision/express network higher speed data while the 6035/i300 don't.

my opinion is smartphone talk is more suited for something like that. but i cant speak for the boss... if you need dedicated one on one info on the 7135 and 6035, this will be the place for sometime to come...

I guess you're right. You're never going to find samsung or kyo forums at treocentral.
