Creating a poll

It would be helpful if there were more detailed instructions on creating a poll. Perhaps I missed them. If so, the instructions are not easy to locate.

Thanks as always for a great board. The dialog is very useful!<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I figured this one out by trial and error. Apologies for the extra thread I had to create to properly document this with screenshots. I wil post the instructions in plain text here, plus there is an attached MSWord document with screenshots.

Please feel free to reuse the documentation elsewhere in the forum, if you think it would be useful.

1. Click on “Create a new thread”
2. Enter your basic subject and message
3. Scroll DOWN
4. Check off the “Yes! Post a Poll” check box
5. Click [SUBMIT NEW THREAD]
6. Enter a “Question for your Poll”
7. Enter the choices for your Poll
8. Enter how long you want the poll to run
9. Click [SUBMIT NEW POLL]

Hey thanks Nomad! Your word document was quite clear and will be very helpful!

Nice instructions nomad! I remember back when I did my poll that it wasn't that easy.

"Wannabe?" "Wannabe?!"

I'll have you know that hack only travelled back in time a handful of times. I have not only travelled back in time, forward in time, sideways in time (watch out for June E 190F!), and once spiraled through a black hole just to see what the experience was like (it was dark)!

Be careful when you insult a Mad Scientist. You never know what he may have up his sleeve!

Oops. I checked. Up my sleeve I have: some string, too much arm hair, and a small rash I should really get looked at. Hey, where did those nice men in the white coats come from?!

lol... we created a secret poll (using your instructions) "should he be committed or not?" and the voting was overwhelmingly in favor of sending you some "visitors". But hey, we're doing this for your own good!

Someday (if you ever get out) you'll thank us

nah...black holes aren't dark. What a silly notion. You must have forgotten to take off your welding goggles...:p
