Exclamation Several Serious Questions!

' Alrighty. I'm REALLY hopin' _someone_ has answers for some questions that are bugging me to NO end!!!

' 1: How does one go about opening local (i.e. saved onto disk / duo) webpages in Opera on the P900?
' I'm pretty anal about where I put files and I tend to have really very complex path names and mutiple levels of directories so I can find said files more easily when looking for them. So I DON'T want to use the "whole" 2 levels of default folders it seems many applications on the phone are limited to!
' Also - I'm actually talking about files I've saved on a desktop and transferred to the P900 - NOT files saved by Opera to the P900 from the P900 (was that convoluted enough?
' So. Is there a dialog-box or SOMETHING you can use to point to a specific file you want Opera to open???
' Related to ALL the above... It seems to me that Opera itself has folders you can put saved files into for future reference... But I CANNOT seem to find where they are!!! I thought that - if all else fails - I could at least transfer files to Opera's default folders and THEN ask it to open them - but even using 3rd-patry disk explorers I can't seem to find where they should / would go! Hints or help anyone???

' 2: Semi-related to the above: If one could change the file-associations on the phone then item no. 1 above would be a MUCH lesser problem!!! Obviously ONE of the things I'd like to be able to do related to this would be to make all html files associated to Opera.
' Has anyone yet figured out how to do this? I saw similar questions on other forums posted a while ago - so far with no real positive replies. I'm praying that situation has changed!!!

' 3: This IS Symbian. I've used previous versions so I know the OS is capable of it - but who knows WHAT SE has done to it... So. Last question: Is it possible to move certain default files (NOT the actual applications / executables - the DATA files) to the Memory Stick and use 'em from there? Moving the default "Jotter" file to D: for example and having "Jotter" default to that disk in future instead of looking for a non-existent file on the internal disk. Possible?
' Again - related to the above: What about mail? This is one of the biggest benders to me - on my old Psion devices I could tell the system to create all sychronised (and other) message files on the external disk... That way one could REALLY carry a LOT of mail history (AND MUCH larger email attachments) with impunity if one had a large external disk - ensuring happy computing by freeing up application-memory whilst catering for VERY SERIOUS road-use and the like. So. Is this possible?

' Ok. Guys - please - I REALLY need ANY and ALL help / comments / suggestions y'all can provide!!! Obviously if anyone DOES know whether any of the above items is feasible it would be great if you could share the "how" with me!!! This little device has more potential than most would care to admit - but to REALLY be considered a SERIOUS tool some of the above is necessary. And I'll not rest nor be entirely happy with my life until I figure the above out or manage to get the above working!!!

' Again - ANY input into these issues would be appreciated beyond what I can easily express here!!!

' Thanks in advance! Here's holding thumbs!!!

Data files

Yes, that is a serious issue indeed.

I just purchased the phone myself, and am concerned about hitting the 16MB data limit in the P900 memory itself soon, so it would be nice to be able to transfer the files to the Memory stick and offload archives to the PC.

This is surely solvable by an OS tweak! If SE cannot give us more that 32MB of built-in memory, this OS modification would surely make it possible to expand space, both for the operating system as well as for data. In fact, there's really no reason why the operating system couldn't itself spill over to the Memory Stick Duo allowing P900's to be upwardly compatible in future (except marketing reasons, of course. )
