I am getting a repeated error message "Unrecognized database format 'C:\windows\application data\sony ericsson\sync station\ hermes.mdb" The options are OK and Cancel but neither gets e out of the error mesages until about the 8th repeat of them. Any ideas? Please?

I think your file is corrupted.

Thanks for your suggestion. Since my original post I have suffered a systems failure and had to re-install Windows. This solved the problem and suggests that your diagnosis was correct.

I recently faced same problem, I did not reinstall windows, but just used a utility called Advanced Access Repair to repair the Access MDB file. It works rather well. So I hope this experience can help in the future.
