The PDA skin is great news! I use the site quite a bit from my PPC but I have not been able to since the upgrade--too slow over 1x. I do use it from my PPC when I'm connected to WiFi though.

Nice work on the design. I'm really enjoying it. Like the others I'm looking forward to the mobile skin.

Well, the same designer is doing that one too... so it should be equally good.

What do you guys think about the red sticky threads?

To me pulling up a thread or post is Very slow. Is anyone else experiencing this since the upgrade?

Looks great BTW...

I haven't really noticed that myself. Traffic is higher on the site now than it has ever been, so you may just be seeing normal loading. The features of the upgrade that improve productivity are pretty much the things I've noticed the most...

I don't think so... the thing is that we need to cut down on so many stickies... there really isn't a need for more than a few in each forum. I know there are a lot in the 6600 forum, and since things are settleing down, I think we may be able to get rid of a few of them.

Mike
Great job on the Forum upgrade! Keep up the great work! I noticed that whenever I click on the PDAphone logo at the top while I'm in the forums area it takes me to the Forums home. But when I'm anyplace else it takes me to the Home page (you know with the news and stuff)... it that how its supposed to work? The Home link in the menubar always takes to the Home page.
As long as we are at it I have a little suggestion:, is there any way to inactivate the "Next Thread" link when browsing a forum's threads? I like starting from the last thread I read and clicking on next thread until I've read them all. But it would be nice to not endup out of that forum when I reach the end.
Thanks
Mark

Good job on the new forum/look! I am still unable to do a search. I appreciate and know that you are working on that.

You should be able to search. The only known problem with search is specific to IE, and is a problem with the Search drop down window jumping off to the right side of the page for certain resolutions. You can use Advanced Search without a problem, and you can use the drop down search if you either have the screen sized so it doesn't jump; OR, you chase it around the page. Of course, you could also use Firefox and not have a problem at all. I haven't had a chance to look into this one yet, but we will eventually get it fixed.

Search

I noticed last night that the search box wasnt working. I had to go to a specific forum then use the search this forum and it worked ok.

Now today i noticed that when i click on search it brings up the search box, as it should but then if i move the cursor around on the screen at all my screen jumps around.

This happens over and over again. I use IE 6.0 with all installed updated on Windows XP Professional. It only happens on the home page

To make this happen, click on search, make the dropdown appear then move your arrow/cursor around toward teh MISC link etc the screen will jump around. Seems to be some issue with placement of the search dropdown and the screen layout.

I also have noticed a very slow opening of topics when i click on them since the update.

For what it's worth... I found that when search doesn't drop down on the main forums page, minimizing the login panel lets it appear again.

The IE search problem is a known problem... doesn't do it with Firefox. The work around until its fixed is to either use Advanced Search, or resize the window to be able to get to the search box.
