If you look just above the thread, there are a number of drop down menus. One of them is Thread Tools. Click it, and it will expand a list of options, and one of the choices should be to Subscribe to the thread.

I couldn't find any mechanism to delete individual PMs. I was at the 150 limit (any chance you could increase that, BTW?) and I'd been used to selectively deleting some to free up space but couldn't find a way to do that now. There were checkboxes next to each message but no delete button that I could see.
I ended up just archiving them all to an XML file and expunging the whole inbox.

guys make sure you have java enabled on your browsers.. there are a lot of things that are in pull down menus...
also, on the right side you can close out the login panel section to give you more real estate.

I just tried to get it to do what you are describing and I can't... it always gives me a drop down there. What browser and version are you using?

PMs do put a big load on the system, so thats why the limit is there. I think 150 is pretty liberal compared to other forums I've visited. One forum I'm on everyday has a limit of about 12 I think and it drives me crazy. This really shouldn't be an email type system for you. Prior to this release, there was no way to save them offline...now with the archive to file, it is pretty easy to save them in a place where you can keep the info without taking up a lot of server space. We are probably going to offer a nominal subscription package at some point, and that is another thing we can put in there is a much higher PM limit.
Now, back to your question. Once you select the ones you want to delete, there is a menu down at the bottom right I believe that you use to tell it what to do with them... right next to the archive options. I had to delete a lot of my old PMs as well, because I couldn't send/receive PMs either.

No problem on the limit... figured it didn't hurt to ask. You're right that with the ability to export it's not as important to save them on the system.
However, I was unable to locate the dropdown box to delete individual PMs. The only one I see below the list was for "Forum Jump".
I am using Firefox... maybe it would appear with a different browser?
Edit: I am using the latest version of Sun Java and do not have it (nor javascript) disabled.
