Poll: Combine XDA-III and PPC-6601 Forums

These 2 forums have so much in common it's silly. I keep going back and forth, back and forth. Good information about cases, blue tooth issues, blue tooth devices etc. are in both forums. I've never done a Poll.

Problem is GSM and CDMA versions may be very different. Maybe one of the wonderful mods can keep an eye on both and let each forum know any pearls of wisdom.

no. i feel these forums need to be seperated.
theres so much in common with the i300/i330, the 1500/i530 forums also... but they need their own space and so do these phones.

as we have seen , there are subtle differences between just thew camera-lees versions of sorint and verizon.. we have not even touched on the cam versions yet!!

its not hard to hit the drop doen menu and the bottom of the thread to "jump to" the forum....

As an owner of the GSM version and having been exposed to the CDMA versions from both Sprint and VzW, I think they need to remain separated. There are too many differences - software, hardware, and support - to try to merge them into one big happy thread.

As a matter of thought, I'm beginning to think maybe the Sprint and Verizon editions need their own spaces, just because of the differences (EV-DO vs. non, etc.)

I have been pretty much trying to do that. Apart from the form factor similarity, they seem to have a lot of subtle and not-so-subtle differences. (But I do love my WiFi!!! )

The ppc6600/6601 and XV6600 are CDMA phones, do not have wifi, and have EVDO capabilities. The PDA2K is a GSM phone, has wifi, etc... They may be similar, but are different products. There was a forum that discussed this, but the SuperMods agreed (as do I) that separate forums are needed. They (jpmihalik for one)are monitoring both forums for tips/tricks that apply to both devices and will let us know if they find anything.

Like mw said, the outside of the phone cases are deceiving. The devices ARE different. The hardware and software preloaded on them is different.

Some discussion topics like accessories and carry cases are probably very similar, but most topics tend to be on performance or connection issues. Different networks, different units, different support.... etc.

For now they will remain separated.
