I Give - browsing this forum on the PPC

I know I saw a link for a beta view for this forum that was more palatable on the PPC but I can't find it.

Help, pls?

Hover over the 'home' at the top of this forum. Last link is for mobile beta.

two problems w/this approach. on my ppc, i cannot see the bar @ the top of the page that shows the home/search/forums (etc), secondly, when i clicked on it from my pc's web browser, yes i got a reduced webpage to make it easier to browse, but its not a specific webpage that is formatted this way. the .php file checks (i guess) a cookie on the comptuer, and if set a specific way, sends the pages formatted that way. THERE'S NO WAY TO GO BACK TO THE REGULAR WAY OF VIEWING THESE WEBPAGES unless you clear out your temp files and cookies.... this was my experience. anyone else?

thanks for showing this, though. hope to be able to view it on my ppc that way someday.

Just change the "5" after style= to a "1" in the URL and you will be back to the original view. (Yeah, it's not so simple, but hey...)

Hmm... maybe you just need to go to the Home page and try it there.

There's a link to the normal style on the mobile beta Home page:

<a href="http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/portal.php?styleid=1">Normal Style</a>

I had to navigate from there back to the i700 forum to restore the normal style; my old bookmark still gave me the mobile style. I'm guessing you could blow away the cookie and restore the normal style with the old bookmark as well.

This link gets you to the portal page which seems to be unavailable in the Mobile Format on the PPC. I saved it to Mobile Favorites on the PC and use it on the PPC to jump back to the normal mode
