We have experienced a great number of problems with our current data center, even though I think the overall availability hasn't been that bad. The combination of FreeBSD, Cpanel, and the current data center team has not been a good combination. We are moving to a new data center with more personalized admin support that is very familiar with Cpanel. In addition we are moving away from FreeBSD and will be running Redhat Enterprise 3.0. This is a lot of work to do, and I hate to go through it, but we've got to do it. I could fill a full season on a second rate sitcom with the goings on that have happened behind the scenes with this server.
The good news is that a lot of the things that have been stuck in a logjam that we've talked about doing.. download engine, new site design, site store, etc. are finishing up and will be rolling out soon... along with some promotions. We are also looking at moving to vBulletin 3 with a totally new design in the near term.
The move took a lot longer than we anticipated. I apologize for that, but we are up now. If anyone is experiencing a problem now, please report it here...
